Neem has a long history of being employed in Ayurvedic oral care. Known as the "Toothbrush Tree" in India, its twigs are commonly used to scrub the teeth. Adults and children aged 7 and above should use a 1-inch strip of paste for brushing, whereas those aged 2-7 should only require a pea-sized amount. For individuals under 2 years old, it is recommended to consult a doctor or dentist first. Proper brushing and rinsing must be taught to children, and for optimal results, it is best to brush teeth twice a day, after each meal or as dictated by the dentist, as well as flossing daily.
