Poria, pinellia, atractylodes, and giant hyssop assist the Spleen in transforming and transporting fluids, preventing congested Moisture (Dampness) from hindering the function of the Stomach. Quisqualis fruit, Asian water plantain, and Job\\'s tears regulate the Lung, Large Intestine, and Bladder and facilitate the excretiion of surplus Moisture. Chinese quince and tokoro yam remove Dampness from the channels and vessels and drain turbid fluid from the Stomach. This combination of herbs adjusts the distribution and discharge of body fluids, and prevents the formation of Dampness, Damp-Heat, and Phlegm that arise from the congestion of Moisture in the viscera and channels.
